Being a creche assistant involves:
1. Signing a Working with Children Check to declare that you are not a person who has been prohibited from working with children.
2. Arriving at church by 9:55am and helping the Little Kids Church teacher or Creche Supervisor to get the room ready and settle the children.
3. Please note that we always need at least 2 adults in the room (for child protection reasons). However, sometimes parents who are not rostered on as creche assistants will stay in creche to help their child settle. If they are planning to stay in creche for the whole service then the creche assistant might not be needed and can return to church. Alternatively, if you are able to help parents settle their children so that the parent can return to church then that would be even better.
